Sarah Savoy's been called the Cajun version of great female artists Patti Smith, Wanda Jackson, and Patsy Cline, and she has distinguished herself within the world's First Family of Cajun Music by stirring those already-rocking traditional tunes into a simmering sauce of country raunch'n'roll.
She plays guitar and accordion and sings, speaks English, French, and Russian, teaches Cajun dancing and cooking, is a wife and mother and daughter and sister, and wrote The Savoy Kitchen--A Family History of Cajun Food.
After 6 years of success with Sarah Savoy & the Francadians, Sarah decided to branch off in another direction and pursue her accordion-playing heritage with a new band, Sarah Savoy's Hell-Raising Hayride.
